Position Details

 

 

Senior Product Accountant

 

Client’s Finance and Operations department is seeking a senior product accountant to manage staff

in support of a sophisticated and rapidly growing suite of trading strategies.

The role requires regular interaction with senior management and proprietary trading staff

and involves a wide array of responsibilities primarily centered on

daily (e.g., trade settlement, swap resets, corporate actions) and

monthly (e.g., preparation of portfolio balance sheets and income statements,

profit-and-loss reconciliation and analysis, security price testing) accounting and

operational duties in support of the firm’s investment activities in developed and

emerging markets around the world.

 

Four to six years of relevant product accounting or financial service experience is required,

as is strong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, bonds, options, swaps,

and other derivative products. 

The ideal candidate will have previous managerial experience, strong interpersonal, problem-solving,

and communication skills, and the ability to sustain a high level of energy in a dynamic, fast-paced group.

A CPA is preferred, but not required.  

 

Accounting Associate for Scientific Research Group

 

A smart accountant is sought for a newly created position with a scientific research group whose current

projects include the development of a specialized supercomputer for biomolecular simulation and pharmaceutical design. 

The accountant's responsibilities will include handling monthly closes for various technology entities,

researching accounting policies, preparing financial statements and cost analyses, budgeting,

and working closely with senior management on various projects. 

 

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized individual with strong communication, problem-solving,

interpersonal, and quantitative skills, as well as a rigorous work ethic and a genuine interest in accounting.  

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field and two or more years of experience are a prerequisite.

Finance and Operations Associate

 

Client's Finance and Operations department seeks smart entry-level Finance & Operation associates to work

with their proprietary trading desks and Accounting, Operations, Tax, and Treasury groups.

Responsibilities include account analysis, capital allocation and optimization, management reporting,

money movement, front-vs.-back office reconciliations, investigation of breaks/issues, and special projects.

The ideal candidates will be motivated, organized individuals with strong communication, problem-solving,

interpersonal, and quantitative skills, a rigorous work ethic, and a genuine interest in finance.

A degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, engineering or related field is a prerequisite.

Candidates should have proven their ability in both academic and professional environments. 

Candidates should have a 3.5+ GPA and a combined 1400+ on their SAT.

Client seeks  smart entry-level (0-2 years of experience) accountants for our accounting and reporting groups.

Responsibilities include monthly closes for multiple entities, account reconciliations and analyses, financial statement preparation, management and regulatory reporting, and special project work.  The ideal candidate will be a motivated, organized individual with strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and quantitative skills, a rigorous work ethic, and a genuine interest in accounting. 

A degree in accounting is a prerequisite. 

Treasury Operations Associate

 

Finance and Operations department is looking for a full-time employee to work in their Treasury Operations (Wires) division. 

This individual will work closely with the Treasury, Accounting, and Operations groups and will be responsible for

initiating wire payments, tracking cash movements, and contacting brokers to investigate wire problems. 

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with an eye for detail, superior organizational and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. 

Must be able to sustain a high level of energy in a dynamic, fast-paced group. 

Experience with wire payments or accounts payable is preferred but not necessary.

 

Senior Pricing Analyst

 

The firm seeks a pricing analyst for its Pricing and Valuation department to support a sophisticated and rapidly

growing suite of trading strategies.

The role requires regular interaction with senior management and proprietary trading staff, and involves an array

of responsibilities primarily centered on daily (e.g., trade analysis, market analysis, valuation issues)

and monthly (e.g., profit-and-loss analysis, security price testing, policy documentation and implementation)

procedures supporting the firm's investment activities.

Three to seven years of relevant pricing, product accounting, or financial service experience is required, as is strong

knowledge of financial instruments including equities, bonds, options, swaps, and other derivative products.

The ideal candidate will have previous managerial experience, strong quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills,

and the ability to sustain a high level of energy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
