Position Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA
The Business Area Partnership (BAP) organization is the
coordination and communication link between business partners requiring IT
products and services, and the client IT organization. They are responsible for
understanding the long-term strategic direction of a defined portfolio, and for
supporting day-to-day needs. As the key IT liaison, the BAPs match prioritized
business demand against supply, provide solution design and architecture
consulting, manage all IT programs in an area, and define and manage service
level agreements.
The Business Infrastructure Portfolio focuses on the areas of
corporate systems for facilities, finance, and human resources. Key project
categories include e-procurement/supply chain, HRIS/HRMS PeopleSoft, and
Medical Group Operations.
The Solutions Design and Consulting organization is a skill
center in each Portfolio and is chartered with the authority and accountability
to identify, design and ensure cost effective, value-added products and
services for integrated information systems across the Enterprise. The
Compliance Billing and Concurrent Review Project has become the number one
project within the organization. The Client must make fundamental major changes
within its Business Processes, and Legacy and new Health systems to support
Legal and Compliance mandates. This position is currently staffed with
consultants and we must build knowledge within the organization to support this
critical piece of the BI portfolio. This resource will lead the effort and the
team, currently consisting of consultants, to analyze current business and data
flow, propose solutions and manage quality documentation deliverables.
The solutions that need to be defined require a comprehensive
and applied working knowledge of the HealthCare industry, either in Practice
Management or Hospital Administration. The resource must have excellent
presentation and facilitation skills to support Requirements and Design
Validation sessions with business partners and cross functional IT departments.
Additionally the resource will support CDP processes, assist in business
process redesign and support the project and program managers associated with
the Compliance Billing related initiatives. There are many cross-BAP issues
that will need resolution and coordination to ensure cost-effective definition
and solutions.
The Solutions Design Consultant role is extensively client
facing at the senior management and executive level of the business user
community and therefore requires previous experience in pre-sales or consulting
services engagements, RFP and/or proposal preparation, comprehensive solutions
definition and interface with project/program managers and technical staff.
Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card to qualify for
consideration.

also contribute to the development of the Corporate Services Systems Strategy,
as these technology solutions are a strategic target for the nationalization of
Corporate Services functions. Additionally, to support CDP processes, ensure
pragmatic design of the Corporate Services projects and to support the project
and program managers associated with Corporate Services initiatives and
systems.

Corporate Services and Compliance Projects:
1. GLIMR (Global Internet Management Reporting)
2. List Validation and Reporting (LVAR)
3. Taking TRAP Fraud, Waste and Abuse capabilities nationwide (2
year, $6+ Million) 4. Strategic Modeling including MIA Nurse and Operating Room
Modeling integration 5. Records Retention (pre-QI targeted for 2006)
6. Investigative Case Management (ICM) currently supported by HR
SD&C
7. Legal suites including legal document repository selection
and design
These projects need guidance and solution designs that support
the overall capabilities for Information Delivery, Data Warehousing and Data
Marts including:
These activities have direct impact on federally mandated
compliance projects, quality, business risk, regulatory compliance, and cost
avoidance for delivered products. In addition, these activities are related to
the risk and mitigation of internet
deployed web components.
